Auto Repair

Auto mechanics perform maintenance, diagnostic tests, repairs, and checks on small trucks and cars. Auto mechanics work on conventional mechanical components, such as engines, transmissions, belts, and tubing. An automotive service technician inspects, maintains, and repairs gasoline, electric, hybrid, and alternative-fuel vehicles.

Genesis 11:6 – And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Called an auto repair service specialist or service technicians, automotive mechanics inspect, maintain, and repair cars and most pickup trucks. On a given day, an auto service technician — aka an auto mechanic, service technician, or auto mechanic — might change the oil, rotate the tires, or check the fluid levels. Service technicians work with various tools and grease-covered automotive parts, sometimes in awkward positions.

Auto service technicians work with a wide range of tools, including computerized diagnostic tools and power tools like pneumatic wrenches, lathes, welding torches, lifts, and hoists, all usually owned by employers.

Auto repair technicians inspect and diagnose faulty vehicles, determine problems, discuss different options with customers, and determine ways to repair the problems. Auto mechanics fix cars and light trucks, as well as performing maintenance on vehicles to make sure that the vehicles are street-worthy, avoiding large repair bills for customers in the future.

Automotive mechanics examine cars, maintain vehicles, and repair automotive problems in order to return vehicles to their customers safely operating. An Auto mechanic inspects, services, and repairs vehicles most people depend on for work and personal lives.

More specifically, most auto mechanics inspect, service, and replace parts, as well as assist customers with understanding what repairs are needed for their vehicles. Many cars and trucks will still need brake replacement, oil changes, and other services an auto mechanic may be able to do. Generally, an auto mechanic changes, rotates, or repairs tires, fixes worn brake pads or wheel bearings, changes oil, gives a tune-up, and completes inspections.

1 Corinthians 10:31 – Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.

The duties of the small-engine mechanic include

  • checking engines for performance problems
  • lubricating parts
  • replacing worn parts
  • and adjusting engine components according to required specifications.
  • Mechanics conduct routine maintenance and condition checks, and follow specified instructions for various types of engines and vehicles.

Some will do heavy duty maintenance, and others specialise in all-terrain vehicles or parts like engines, tires, and brakes. Examples include brake repairs, air conditioning (which requires knowing state regulations), transmissions, or front-end repair. This includes working on mechanical or electrical problems, fixing airplane components such as wings or brakes, inspecting airplane parts for defects, and testing airplane parts to determine their accuracy.

INTERESTING FACT – You will get hands-on training so you can become familiar with routine tasks such as

  • changing oil
  • replacing brake pads
  • diagnosing, tuning
  • A/C repairs
  • and other basic repairs.
  • If you are working for a dealership, you are typically provided by the employer with special training specific to the car brand.

Daniel 12:4 – But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

It can be tempting to try repairing your vehicle yourself when it breaks down, but the only solution is to take it to a certified auto service technician, or mechanic. For instance, if your vehicle is experiencing engine problems, an auto technician will probably be responsible for digging into your cars computer to diagnose the issue, and from this information, an automotive mechanic will be charged with fixing the issue.

Depending on the damage or issue presenting itself, a mechanic will have to take apart the engine or another vehicle component in order to examine working or failing parts more thoroughly. If significant damage occurs in any vehicle component, a mechanic will be in charge of ordering replacement parts and performing repairs. This process must always be handled with extreme care to ensure safety for workers and customers. In addition to performing hands-on work, mechanics are also responsible for providing customers with a report explaining any repairs performed. Auto Body Repair workers examine vehicle damages, create a cost estimate to fix damage, and conduct repairs to the affected vehicles.

INTERESTING FACT – Preventive maintenance is also a core part of the mechanics job, but it is impossible to do so with vehicles not maintained on a regular basis by a mechanic.

Basic car maintenance is a fundamental part of mechanics jobs in the industrialized countries of today, whereas in others, they are consulted only once the car is showing signs of failure. We need somebody to be able to do diagnostics and maintenance tasks like changing fluids, re-tuning, electrical and mechanical repairs, and checking.
